in memory of George Jones (1931-2013)

Joey Harkum, of Pasadena, isn’t known for doing covers but when he does they are good ones. Two of said covers happen to be tunes by George Jones… “He Stopped Loving Her Today” and “Sick Sober and Sorry”.  Days before the passing of George Jones, Joey stopped by the FREEstate Workshop to lay down his rendition of “Sick Sober and Sorry” it seemed only fitting that we put a memorial in front of the video.

Joey’s new acoustic album is set to be released late 2013

Here is Joe’s version of “He Stopped Loving Her Today” that was available onthe charity double disc album “FREEstate’s Gotcha Covered” released in 2012.
